Support at home

What an elderly-care helper does

  • Companionship through the day
  • Meals, hydration and familiar food
  • Mobility support and accompanied walks
  • Dressing, grooming and daily hygiene
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Housekeeping that keeps the home safe

This is non-medical support. A helper does not replace a nurse or doctor, and many families use both together.

We listen before we shortlist

No agency can match a helper to a person it has not asked about. So the first call is about your parent: how they spend a day, how far they can walk, what they will and will not accept help with, and the language they are most at ease speaking.

If we do not have someone suitable this month, we will tell you that instead of sending whoever is free.

Your family decides, not us

You see the biodata, you watch the interview video, you speak to the candidates you like, and your parent is in the room while you do it. We give you our honest reading of each one, then step back.

Nobody is asked to commit to a person they have not met.

We are still here in month eleven

Most agencies are hard to reach once the fee is paid. Our support runs for twelve months, not three, and the replacement warranty runs with it. The first weeks get the most attention, because that is when a placement is decided.

TC Resources was built for this

It begins with the person, with the routine they have kept for decades, the language they think in, the stairs they now take slowly. We are a maid agency that specialises in one thing: matching a helper to an elderly parent, and to the family around them.

A helper who knows your parent’s routine changes everything.

Not the most qualified on paper. The one who fits the house, the meals, the temperament and the pace of the day.

View helpers

Every family has a routine.

Breakfast at the same table. A walk before the heat. Medication after lunch, a call from the grandchildren at four. A good placement protects that routine rather than replacing it.

You are not hiring a stranger. You are choosing who sits with your mother at breakfast.

So you meet the shortlisted helpers first, and nobody is asked to commit to someone they have not spoken with.

How it works

Replacement cover

A twelve-month replacement warranty.

If the placement does not work out within the first year, we help you find a replacement helper. Four times the three-month cover most agencies offer, and guidance first, since most concerns are solved without a change. Exact terms are set out in your written placement agreement.

Paying for a placement

fromRM825a month

You do not have to pay for it all at once.

Hiring a full-time live-in helper usually means a large sum up front, and for most families that is the part that makes them wait. It does not have to be paid that way.

  • Up to 24 months to spread the cost
  • 0% interest on credit card instalment plans
  • No large upfront payment to get started

Instalment plans are offered by your own bank or card issuer and are subject to their approval and terms. We will set out the full cost in writing before anything is agreed.

Frequently
asked
questions

What can a maid actually do for an elderly parent?

Companionship through the day, preparing familiar meals, help with dressing, grooming and bathing where appropriate, support moving around the home and on accompanied walks, reminders for medication and appointments, and the housekeeping that keeps the home safe and comfortable.

Every duty is agreed with your family before placement, so nobody is surprised on either side.

Is this the same as nursing care?

No. Helpers provide non-medical support. Diagnosis, injections, wound care, tube feeding, medication administration and other clinical tasks require appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.

Many families use both together: a helper for daily life at home, and a visiting nurse or doctor for clinical needs.

Can we interview a helper before deciding?

Always, and you should. Review the biodata, then speak with the candidates you like by video call or in person where possible. We will never ask you to commit to someone your family has not met.

How long does it take to get a helper for elderly care?

It depends on whether the helper is already in Malaysia or arriving from Indonesia or the Philippines. A transfer helper who is already here can move much faster than a new arrival, whose permit, medical screening and travel all have to be arranged.

Your consultant gives you a realistic timeline at the first conversation and updates you at every stage. We would rather tell you twelve weeks and be right than tell you four and disappoint you.
